ABOUT HYROX TRAINING
HYROX combines both running & functional workout stations, where participants run 1km, followed by 1 functional workout station, repeated eight times.
HYROX has been created as a Fitness Race for Every Body, but let’s not forget, it is still a fitness race which requires training and preparation in strength as well as endurance. 8 x 1km of running and 8 functional workouts! The ultimate challenge of your body with natural skills movements tested to the maximum.
Accommodating both professional athletes, and everyday fitness enthusiasts looking to take their training to the next level, HYROX is the sport for everybody.

Rafael Ruiz, Head Coach
Rafael has been a personal trainer and CrossFit coach for nearly 10 years. He is excited at how CrossFit 11968 is building a community locally. When he started CrossFit, he never saw this to be his path, but he has fallen in love with the sport and the community and the impact that he has seen it make in his own life and in others. Aside from CrossFit, he enjoys time with his wife & two daughters, surfing, jiu jitsu, running, traveling, and finding CrossFit gyms wherever he goes.
